Sweet potato and Soya Tikki

Amazingly simple and tasty tikki, I made this for the first time to make SM eat sweet potato. When I made this he could not tell the ingredients and happily ate the tikkis. He was surprised to find out that the tikki was made of sweet potato. And since then I make this regularly by tweaking ingredients. So today I added soya granules and made it. Simply delicious and healthy. So all those who are watching their weight can also have this. So Happy Cooking...

Ingredients:

Sweet potato - 1 cup(mashed)
Soya granules - 4 tbsp
Onion - 1 medium
Green chilli - 1 tbsp
Corriander leaves - 2 tbsp
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Carrom seeds(ajwain) - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for cooking

Method:

Add boiled and peeled sweet potatoes
with soya granules

Add the remaining ingredients except oil and mix well

Give them your desired shape
Shallow fry the tikkis till they are evenly golden brown

Boil and peel sweet potatoes. Mash them and keep aside. Keep soya granules in hot water for 5 minutes with salt. Squeeze the water out of it and add it to the sweet potato mixture. Now add chopped onions, green chilli, coriander leaves, chilli powder, carom seeds and salt. Mix them well and divide them into small portions. Give them your desired shape. I shaped them rectangle. Heat a pan and drizzle some oil.. Gently lower the tikkis, a few at a time, and shallow fry till evenly golden brown on both the sides. Serve hot with ketchup.
