The other day I was watching a cookery show and that gave me inspiration to make this recipe. I make a lot of paneer recipes because its SM's favorite. Of course I made it simple and made this with the ingredients that I had at home. So all you ppl out there, check the recipe and enjoy. Happy Cooking...
Ingredients:
Paneer/Cottage Cheese - 200 gms
Onion(cut into cubes) - 2 big
Green Chilli - 2 tbsp
Green Capsicum - 1/2 cup(cubes)
Tomato Puree - 1/2 cup
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Shahjeera - 1 tsp
Cloves - 3
Star Anise - 1
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Cumin powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Ginger Garlic paste- 1 tbsp
Pickle gravy - 1 tbsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Water as required
Salt to taste
Method:
Add chopped onions and green chillies and cook till onions are translucent.
Now add turmeric powder, coriander powder and cumin powder.
Now add tomato puree and mix well. Add water as required and cook till capsicum is semi cooked.
Now add the pickle gravy with oil and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes.
In a pan/kadhai heat oil and add whole garam masala(shahjeera, cumin seeds, cloves, star anise). Add chopped onions and green chillies and cook till onions are translucent. Add ginger garlic paste and fry till the they cook(they should not smell raw). Now add turmeric powder, coriander powder and cumin powder. Now add cubed capsicum and salt and mix well. Cook for 2 minutes. Now add tomato puree and mix well. Add water as required and cook till capsicum is semi cooked. Now add tomato puree and mix well. Add water as required and cook till capsicum is semi cooked. Now add the pickle gravy with oil and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes. Serve hot with phulkas.
