Healthy Milagai Podi

This is my version of the famous "Milagai podi" aka "Gun Powder". I added flax seeds to this as it adds lot of health benefits. I will write about it later with flax seed being core ingredient. You can add garlic, sesame seeds if you wish to. I did not include here. So happy cooking...



Ingredients:

Urad dal /black gram dal - 1 cup
Channa dal/Bengal gram - 1/2 cup
Moong dal/Split yellow lentil – ½ cup
Mustard Seeds – ¼ cup
Corriander seeds – 3 tbsp
Cumin seeds – 3 tbsp
Flax seeds – 4 tbsp
Dry coconut – 50 gms
Dry Red chilli - 8-10 nos
Salt to taste
Oil - 1/2 tsp

Method:




Heat a kadhai and add oil. Roast all the above mentioned ingredients(except salt) one by one separately until brown. Transfer the ingredients and let it cool. When they are at room temperature, grind all the ingredients in a blender. To this mixture add salt and mix well. That’s it, healthy and yum milagai podi ready.
