Lemongrass Tea

It is rainy season here in Pune. I got bored of drinking the normal tea. So when I chanced upon some fresh lemon grass in the market today and I thought of making tea with it. The fresh lemony smell is just amazing. The tea was refreshing and healthy too. So here is my version of lemongrass tea. Try it.

Ingredients:

Lemon grass - 1/2 cup
Mint leaves - 1/4 cup
Tea leaves - 1 tsp
Ginger juice - 1 tbsp
Jaggery or Honey or Sugar to taste
Water - 3 Cups

Method:


Combine the lemon grass, mint leaves and jaggery with 3 cups of water in a pan and bring it to a boil.
Remove from the flame, add the tea leaves, cover and allow it to infuse for a few minutes.

Lower the flame and simmer till it reduces to about 2 cups.
Remove from the flame, add the tea leaves, cover and allow it to infuse for a few minutes.
Strain and serve hot.
